1. Heat oil in a large shallow frying pan over a medium heat. Fry tortilla until pale puffed and golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
2. In another small frying pan melt the brown sugar with the chocolate over low heat. Dip the fried tortillas in this mixture.
3. Sprinkle each tortilla with the combined sugar and nuts.
Serve with coffee or thick hot chocolate after dinner in place of dessert
